Manipulate Printer in Smartform

Hi experts,

is there a possibility, to change the printer-device in a SMARTFORM?
So not in the printing-program as usual, later, in the form itself.

The thing is, we are using an standard sap-printing report (HR-Area) and just did change the form in the customizing.

By default the printer is from user settings and now we would like to manipulate this in SMARTFORM.

The problem is, that we have different printers with different device-types and the form is only outputed as a PDF.

So we would like to create one PDF_PRINTER so that all persons get the same PDF-Output.

(Because at the moment they get different designs in the PDF, based on different printer device types).

Hello,

there is a possibility to set an Output Device in the SmartForm: open the form in transaction SMARTFORMS, and under tab "Output Options" there is an "Output Device" field.

(This tab is under the menu "Global Settings" -> "Form Attributes", so the first menu shown after you displayed a form in transaction SMARTFORMS.)

The thing is though, I don't know whether the user-default Output Device overrides this setting.

Perhaps a test can show which one is "stronger": the default Output Device of a user or the default Output Device of the SmartForm.
