Making a field substitutable in SAP

Hi

My requirement is to create a substitution for the posting date field. I am aware that it can be created via GGB1 Tcode.

All I want to know is how to make posting date "BUDAT" as a substitutable field.

The entry in GB01 is as follows:-

For a field substitutable BEXCLUDE field should be clear.

How can I clear the BEXCLUDE flag?

Or is there any other way to do this?

Please advice.

I would suggest rather than making this change you should search for BADI's/BTE you will find many for the same. Please search SCN

Its is not recommended. It will be considered as a modificaton. If you want to rad more details please go thourgh 42615 - Substitution in FI

For those who might be interested in this. I have found the solution.

The GB01 table can be maintained via VWTYGB01 view.

We can goto SM30 and maintain the entries in this view.

Please note that the SAP-delivered GB01 settings exlude fields for a good reason, usually to ensure data integrity and consistency. SAP considers any change as a modification, so when you run into problems in the FI standard transactions that can be somehow traced back to this change and substituted BUDAT values, you cannot expect SMP support.
