Hi,

When sm30 is for maintenance view and sm31 for same?

what is the diff and when do we need to go for wht?

Hi,

There is absolutley no difference since both are based on the same program SAPMSVMA and screen 100.

However, within the programs there is some internal SAP processing based on the tcode (SM30/SM31) SY-TCODE however it does not /should not impact us developers.
