Hi ,
LUW starts when a process begins and ends when a commit work is executed for the same.

A database LUW starts at he end of the previous LUW or previous dialog step and ends at the end of the current dialog step.

it starts at the beg of transaction and ends if its processing ends. the processing may be either COMMIT or ROLLBACK state
