LSMW transfer question

Hi,

our LSMW works fine in Sandbox and Dev box. When we transwer it to

production box it doesn't work.

I have checked LSMW manually in Prod - everything looks right. The settings, structures etc. were transfered correctly.

Is there something extra that needs to be done after transfer LSMW from one system to another?

Thank you.

Hi

U need to transport your LSMW project to production.

U have two ways:

1) Create a change request: run LSMW, EXTRAS->Create change requets

2) Download the porject in a file: run LSMW, EXTRAS->Export project

After doing it, you have to transport the request or import the project to production.

As soon as your project is in produciton you need to run it here again.

Hi,

I hope u have transfered the LSMW to production by one of the methods :

1. Export and Import

2. Generate change request

After doing so, u need to check some of the settings in LSMW.

I hope u have got some problem in LSMW objects which are using Idocs or BAPI. If u r using BAPI or Idocs method in any of the LSMW objects we need to create the Idoc inbound processing in that system, that is we need to create file ports and partner types in each of the systems (Dev, Qua and Prod).

This can be done thru LSMW->Settings->IDoc inbound processing.

check whether u have maintained File ports, Partner types and partner numbers.

If u have already maintained then u need to add the Message Types of that Idoc or BAPI objects in the Inbound parameters of the Partner number.

If this is not the situation, then elaborate on the problem so that we can find any solution.

Please revert back if u have any doubts.

I have solved the problem by opening LSMW job, deleting and re-creating one component and saving it.

I have concluded that simple transfer is not completely replacing the old LSMW project unless you save new one.

Thanks for you help.

Hi,

Is there an option to Transfer LSMW subprojects from production to SANDBOX? I want to copy existing LSMW projects from produstion so I can use it also in SANDBOX for testing.

Thanks & Regards,

I hope you were getting error while executing 'Convert Data' step of LSMW after you have transferred it to Production box from Dev or Sandbox??
