LSMW. Question

Hi Experts,

I have a question on LSMW. I am just wondering if there are any hard and fast rules for the naming convention used in the first step of the LSMW like for Project, Subproject and object??

For eg: if I create a migration of data that deals with Assest Masters, is it possible to give our won naming standards or is there any rule needs to be followed.

I will really appreciate your answers..

I don't think there are any naming standards or naming space assigned to them. You can use any name there.

We named our projects starting with Z and then some identifying name like PHASE1. This name should reflect the project. For the sub-projects what we followed is to start them with the two letter module name(MM, PP, etc), and then a meaningful name like CONV or INT(for interfaces, very rarely used but you can have interfaces done through LSMW).

Objects can be any meaningful name like PURORDCNV.

There is no any naming rules, Just you have to follow, when you are going to develop new LSMW just click on "Create New Entry" other than Execute.

I think you might clicking on Execute button, so its giving an error. Just try for it.
