Dear All,

LSMW Doubt

IN Step 7, Specify Files.

Legacy Data Can be on the PC (Frontend) or On the R/3 Server (Application Server).

1) What is the advantage on using the Application Server

2) how can I keep my files on Application Server.

Please let me know, Thank you.

Hello,

If you store files in Application Server rather than in local machine (Presentation server), you can carry out periodic migration of data without some body feeding the files manually. Please see the transaction FILE for storing files in Application Server side.

Thanks,

Venu

You can upload and download files to application server using CG3Z and CG3Y transactions.
