lower case/upper case conversion!

I am doing a lookup on a ztable field which is of char(50). All the characters are stored in lower case in that table but when I am trying to search for that record, on the se16 screen all the characters are changing to uppercase and not returning any record. How should I handle this?

Make sure that the "lowercase" checkbox is checked on the domain which is tied to the data element used for the field in your ztable.
