looking for abap source safe tool

I am looking for the Add-in tool which has the functions to manage version for ABAP Code. The Version Management tool in ABAP does not satisfy our requirements as Visual Source Safe of Microsoft  or the TFS.

I would like to get your help about this.

As far as I know there is no such tool.

With ABAP for eclipse, the possibility becomes open again.

So if we will work with abap in eclipse, we can work with the sourceSafe and with checkout and checkin abilitis? If yes, what should we do in order to get the trial version of that eclipse and to work with the abap in that tool? should we download also the jdk in order to work with the eclipse?
