Lock objects with Table maintainance generator

Hi All,

Can we have the Lock object for table maintainance generator(SM30), we different user can edit and update the same record.

Are they updating through SM30? In our system and lot of places I have seen, you cannot open the same table via SM30 at the same time in edit mode ( E_TABLEE Lock object for table views - exclusive lock is usually the lock object for SM30)
