Language pack neccessary?

Hi All,

I was just wondering if is an absolute requirement to install the language pack of choice in order for SY-LANGU to change.

For example we have some Z tables containing texts by multiple different SPRAS, lets say EN, DE and FR.

In my BSP app if I change the URL to include querystring parameter sap-language=EN, SY-LANGU = E. (lang pack installed)

In my BSP app if I change the URL to include querystring parameter sap-language=DE, SY-LANGU = D.(lang pack installed)

In my BSP app if I change the URL to include querystring parameter sap-language=FR, SY-LANGU = E.(lang pack not  installed)

Is this behaviour because the language pack is not installed or some other config not being maintained correctly??

Many Thanks

Hi David,

you only language pack if the users need to connect to the language.

I'm not sure you need the language pack to connect with BSP / WD  if you have made the translatation  (SE63)   have you ?

regards

Fred
