After logging into the client, how to know -
whether a particular client is development or testing or production.
Thanks and Regards

Well thats the most basic thing that should be communicated to a developer working in a progject You can either find it with the naming convention of the server and also by checkign the change authorities enabled/disabled.

Hi,
There is a system filed called SY-SYSID (Name of the SAP System). That give you name of the current system in which you logged in.
So what ever the name of your SAP system(DEV, Prod, TEST), this field give you the name of the system.
Are you looking for the same?

Lokesh

Hi Lokesh,
Thanks for your reply.
We can get the current system we logged in from task bar as said by Murthy and also by checking naming convention of the server and the change authorities enabled/disabled as said by Mr. Vikranth.
As the naming conventions in my sap system are same for all the servers, I mean to ask you whether there is any other procedure to know that the system we logged in is dev or testing or prod.
Thanks

The general information about the server will be given in the initial logon screen where you enter the user id and password. That should be more than enough
