Dear ALL,

Kindly letme know whether we need to know the complete java for learning EP. or to put in other way what is the prerequisite to mater SAP EP. I have sound knowledge of ABAP objects. Can somebody tell me more specfic what we need to know in java, like corejava, applets,multithreading, RMI, jsp, javabeans .....etc. and for EP do we need to code in java, if yes what are the areas we need to code in java for EP?.

Hi Senthil,

You should know following things to develop java coponents for portal.

Core java,JSP,HTML,HMLB,Webservice,Java beans.

Knowledge of J2EE will be adavantage.

Start working on SAP Netweaver Developer Studio(can download from sdn)

You can develop Portal component Using .NET also.

For portal there are 2 main options portal admin or developer so which option you are looking for?
