Issues in USMM user classification tab

As part of system measurement , First We have updated the license type of the 6000 dialog users that are active in SAP using SU10 (Classification based on the assigned roles).After that when we ran the USMM and click on the user classification tab we are only getting 4500 users .Can any one suggest what would be the reason for the difference in numbers.

Do we get the same results after clicking on the system measurement too ?

Welcome to the dark land of license calculation

I've never understand why that task was so complex and had to be performed by the customer at his own expense...

What is your SAP version, did you perform measurement locally or from Solution Manager ?

1858631 - LAW use in Releases 7.10, 7.11, and 7.30

In general, we explicitly recommend not using the LAW in Basis Releases 7.10, 7.11, and 7.30. Instead, we recommend using a Release 7.00, 7.01, 7.02, 7.31, or 7.40 for consolidation of the system measurement results.

Ideally, we recommend using Solution Manager as the main LAW system.

Hi Yves,

We are using ECC 6.0 EHP  6 release 7.31, we are performing the measurement locally in ECC system.

You can have a look at table USR06, field LIC_TYPE  is updated by USMM.

At the USER06 table level I am getting the correct value 6000 users , but when i perform the system measurement using USMM I am only getting 4500.There is a difference of 1500 users ....when I checked the users that are missing most of the users Limited professional users, few are ESS, Professional users. Any help in this regard is greatly appreciated

Hi Vamshi,

You have to consolidate the unique users with all the different type of license assignments.

I guess you are checking for only one type of license users.
