Is there an Organization system (like java packages) for ABAP classes?

Hi,

I am new to oo abap but not to oo nor abap and I was wondering if there is a way to structure our classes; I havent found anything.

If we check the Class browser we'll see classes are organized simply by Packages, but here the package concept is different than the package concept we have in Java, which organizes classes in groups or folders.

I would find this quite useful, I can't imagine classes being developed without a way to properly organize them.

Thanks everyone in advance,

Elias Hortas.

You can create something called as [Package hierarchy|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/79/8097d0ef9111d3963f00a0c94260a5/frameset.htm]. This way you can group certain classes in nice logical way.

Marcin

hi,

abap packages are different from java packages. you can group your development-objects in packages, but a package is not a namespace. all your development-objects (classes, programms) have to have globally unique names.
