Hi akash,
Interface means it is just connecting two systems for transferring the data.
So there are two kind of interfaces
1)Outbound interfaces
2)Inbound interfaces
Techniques available in SAP are
1) LSMW (Only inbound)
2) BDC (Only inbound)
3) BAPI (Both IB and OB) (Used very vastly)
4) EDI (IB and OB)
5) ALE idocs (IB and OB) (Used very vastly)
I hope it is helpful.
Reward points,
Thanks,
Prasanna

Hi Akash,
The interfaces are mainly of two types.
1) Inbound interface
2) Outbound interface
The different technologies available in SAP to achieve this are as follows:
1) BAPI
2) BADI
3) RFC
4) Idoc etc
Check this link of SAP Press for interfaces
