Hi,
I'm having a problem using OO ALV to create a complex interactive report. What I would like to do is, using OO, have a hierarchical display in the top half of the screen displaying Documents (Header and Items) which can be reviewed by the business user. Then include a button for the user to post the documents upon which the return messages are displayed in another ALV on the bottom half of the screen.
For Example
ALV 1
Doc Header 1
Item
Item
Item
Doc Header 2
Item
Doc Header 3
Item
ALV 2
Doc Header 1 messages
Doc Header 2 messages
I have achieved this for single line type layouts using ALV class cl_gui_alv_grid but I cannot identify a way to use this class with multi lline type layouts though.
Function Module REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY would allow me to create the hierarchical layout but cannot be used in a screen preventing the use of a second ALV grid at the same time.
Has anybody identified a way to create this sort of functionality using alv oo or can complex interactive layouts only be created using the function module based ALV's? Or alternatively any suggestions of how I could use the function module based ALV functionality to achieve my requirement?
Thanks in advance.
Ian

Hi Ian,
You can do as follows:
For two alvs on a screen, check this:
For tree check the demo BCALV_TREE_DEMO, basically you need to change one of your ALV into tree in the custom container
Thanks,
