in ECC 6.0

hi,

At random points of time, in my ECC 6.0 system, two things happened.

1. Instead of the new debugger, Classical debugger is started when i use the /h or had placed a breakpoint.

2. When i go to the layout editor for screen designing, the graphical editor is not displayed, instead the textual on as in 4.5 version is displayed.

Has anyone come across this ?

It's all depends on the settings:

For debugging:

Go to SE38

Utiliities > Settings

Select tab Abap Editor

Under tab Debugging, check Classic Debugger or New Debugger

For Screen:

Go to SE38

Utilities > Settings

Select tab Scree Painter

Check the checkbox "Graphical Layout Editor"

This settings are User dependent. But, If your userid is common to some developers, than some body might have changed the settings.

Also new debugger needs an extra session, So if you have already 6 sessions open the classical debbugger will start instead of the new debugger.

Yes I think Aparna is right.

Regarding old Layout editor, yeah I need to relogin to solve that problem, but no idea why it occurs !!

first one settings problem i feel. May be you set Classical Debugger option

second which usually happens for me, after shutdown SAP logon and Relogin solves the problem. Some times i uninstalled my GUI and reinstalled.
