Import Verisign certificate in a JAVA 6.40 system

Hello all,

We are running EP 6.0 SP18 on a Java 6.40 SP18 system. We recently sent a CSR request to Verisign to get a signed certificate from them. We received it but after talking to them, I understand that I have to

1. Install their root CA certificate

2. Install the intermediate certificate for the type of certificate I purchased

3. Install the certificate they sent me as a reply to my CSR request

Now, I am not sure how to do this as the SAP documentation (at least the one I got hold of) just mentions that in Visual Administrator, Keystore Service , service_ssl view I click on import CSR response and then I import the file that was sent to me (which in my case is the file from step3 ). However, my Verisign certificate doesn't work like this ( I get certificate invalid or expired). Verisign provided me with the certificates described in 1 and 2 above but I do not know how to import them (and they do not know neither, their website doesn't have instructions for SAP products)

Hello,

I have managed only to do 1 and 3 ( I requested the root certificate from Verisign and they sent it to me via email ) and I installed it in the TrustedCAs view of the KeyStore service

I do not know how to install the intermediate certificate, so it still doesn't work as it should

Finally solved it

Followed the instructions of note 694290 to import the certificate chain

Essentially, I needed to export the already existing private key to a .p8 file named exactly after the already existing private key entry. Then, I delete the private key entry and hit Load, put the .p8 file I just exported and then import my certificate file (CSR response), the intermediate CA certificate and the root CA certificate
