Hi,

In our Testing environment, we are having many IDocs( both Outbound and Inbound) and now we are trying to delete most of them. Is it a good idea to do that?

We had new Cost Centers ALE'd from other environment to our Testing environment , so If we delete or archive the IDocs , will the Cost centers also be deleted?

it is not good idea to delete ,anyhow when you delete idoc ,cost center will not be deleted.

You can archive IDoc documents through the archiving utility (transaction SARA) with the object 'IDOC'.

You can test function module EDI_DOCUMENT_DELETE to delete the IDOC

Vamsi, This is Basis Job and we delete the data every six months in Production environment since everyday we keep million records in database.

We copy the six months into one more system ( We called as Stage),when we required the data we use that system

Try to talk to basis guy for more information.
