I want to create a sales order using IDocs.

I am given a file with the following fields that will create idocs..

Delivery Plant RV45A-DWERK 1000

Can you provide me the steps in taking the data from flat file and creating an idoc and create a salesorder thereby.

Hi Srinivas,

In Message control method the extra transaction code that we use is we41 (outbound process code) and we use this in the message control tab in the partner profiles.

The transaction codes that are required for this method are

We81

We30

We31

We82

We21

We20

Bd64

Nace

va01/va02 (sales order) .

we need to enter value in VA01 tcode with following information and then issue the output .It will create an idoc ,if all the above configurations r made.

So u need to have the output types in NACE tcode for triggering of idoc and the medium should be ALE.

Hi Srinivas,

If you are having only those fields and u r required to create the sales order in SAP using IDocs, then I suggest you to go for LSMW with BAPI method. I presume that, this would be a good method. Place all those fields in the text file and use LSMW. You can use BUS2032 bapi and the method is CREATEFROMDAT2.

When I tried to create a segment(WE 31) with the fileds of the sales order and trying to save it, I am getting a message 'STDO: Log with ID 2 is already closed' and the segment is not getting created.
