Hi all,

while creating partner profile, there is 2 options.

1) add message type

2) add bapi

what is the functionality of 'Add BAPI' here?

for one set of sender & receiver, i need to give either 'message type' or 'Add bapi. is it?

i saw an example.

while creating partner profile,

when sender----xlg800

receiver--mes1

message type -zloipro.

when sender = mes1.

receiver = xlg800.

BAPI = prodordconfirmation.

here they r using BAPI instead of message type. what is the role of bapi here?

plz give some idea regarding this.

Hi,

We know that BAPI's are used to post data into database.

Even the IDOC also do the same after it is transferred.

If u gave BAPI means the BAPI checks it self for the Processing program to post the document into DB.

The ultimate destination is same.

Here is user flexibity that not to remember the process code for every message type
