Hi,

I have extended an idoc segment and found the related user exit also. As i don't have authorizations to assign the extended idoc type into message type, i am unable to check whether data would be populated or not.

But, can anyone confirm me that for an outbound idoc, the extended fields would be populated when u have EDIDC and EDIDD segments coming as a export/import.

Is this how we find the user exit.

For all idoc, we can extend and the same can be populated, am i right?

What IDoc are you working with?

Yes you can very well extend an idoc and the same can be populated .That idoc is called extended idoc type.

You can also attach the extended idoc type to the message type as you attach the basic idoc type.
