IDoc within the same system

Hi,

We would like to trigger idoc based on a Purchase Order(Outbound) and Create Sales Order(Inbound) in the same ECC instance.

We have maintained the following configuration as of now:

1) Port and RFC destination to the same system

2) Partner profile for Vendor and Customer with message type and process code

The outbound idoc from PO is currently with status 03 - 'Data passed to port ok' but the idoc is not reaching the Inbound.

Could someone provide some information on the EDI configuration that are necessary to have Idoc flow to the same system.

When there is no IDOC created in the receiving system and in the sending system the IDOC is OK then there can be a communication error between sending and receiving system. Have a look in transactional RFC logging transaction SM58.
