Hi All, I need to create Basic IDoc type with 40,000 segments can any one help me How can I proceed

You mean you want to have 40000 segment types in that Idoc type or that Idoc will have 40000 segments of data?

yes, my question is right, I need to have basic type with 40,000 segments, not the data file

ex: we63 > <Basic Obj Name>> I need to have a description file with 40,000 segments

i guess u need to reframe ur question..

i believe u need 40000 data in ur segment type..

In that case, when u attach segment type to IDOC, mark max limit as 99999.

segment is a collection of fields.

so, what u need? u need 40000 fields in a segment or 40000 segments?

if we want to create a segment, go to we30, create a segment, enter the fields u needed and activate and release.

go to we31, create an idoc type and assign the created segment to the idoc type.

u can assign any number of segments to an idoc type.
