I would like to know where to see the segments of a message type:
For Example:
Message Type: MATMAS
How can i see the segment and its fields ?
I have to tried on WE30 but its not displaying for the standard message types.
I want also like to know where these message types, segment and fields are stored - whether its stored in database table, then its table name.

Hi,
You have to use the transaction WE30 to see the segments for the IDoc Type MATMAS (You will have different versions from 01, 02 etc. depends upon your SAP version). The IDoc type is linked to the message type and the message type does not have segments.
The relation between Message type and IDoc types are maintained in the transaction WE82.

In transaction we82
--click on position button
--In message type field put -" MATMAS"
--It will show all possible basic type attach to message type
--with basic type go to transaction "we30"
--Put object name as basic type selected from we 82 eg .MATMAS01
--F7
--Expand strucute
--using fw navigation you can go segment editor eg we31
