IDOC/BAPI in EDI

Hi gurus,

I want to know the best solution for setting up of EDI for outbound delivery confirmation. I have recognised the IDOC and BAPI as:

BAPI - BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CONFIRM_DEC

IDOC - IDOC_OUTPUT_DELVRY

I want to more about this IDOC and BAPI and also suggest me which will be the best. Also list out some pros and cons of IDOC and BAPIs in this scenario.

Hi Sirisha,

Go for the IDOC. When IDOC is available you should always choose IDOC.

BAPI will slow down the performance. BAPI are used when you want the synchronous update.
