Hello all,
I am working in an EDI project and the guys who are receiving the iDocs request from us the iDoc and IDO definitions.What is the IDO definition and how can we provided it from SAP.

Hi,
Welcome to SDN.
Please go to transaction WE61 (or WE60) and enter the corresponding basic type (i.e ORDERS05). Next, click on Parser (F9) button. The system will display documentation for basic type ORDERS05.
Then you go to menu: System -> List -> Save -> Local file -> Unconverted -> ...
to save parser file with an IDO extension.

Files named .ido are binary files containing the local representation of intermediate document messages. These are either downloaded from the R/3 system or they are built from .mtd files as needed.

Hi Ferry,
thanks for yr input (and everybody else).We have perfromed the same steps in the past (version 4.6) and there were whole segments missing.thats the way you have done it in the past?
