How to validate Unix path

Hi ,

I am passing a unix file as '/tmp/usr01/IT/rate1.txt' . My requirement is to validate only the unix path " /tmp/usr01/IT".

I tried with FM EPS_GET_DIRECTORY_LISTING , but it is giving one exception like 'NO Authorization '.

Hi

Check if you have authorization to open the below mentioned file. I think that is the reason it is saying No authorization.

No actually when i am trying to use open data set it is giving sy-subrc as 0.

i can't use open dataset as i do have to validate the directory.

Check also the function module AUTHORITY_CHECK_DATASET and its documentation.

Hi,

The error raised after Authority Check (You may not be having the autorization to read the contents of the directory mentioned in the parameter) .

If the directory is not available then you will get the exception READ_DIRECTORY_FAILED.
