How to obtain access key for developer?

Hi all,

I'm a totally new developer, and my company has just installed mySAP.

When I try to open ABAP Editor to create a new program, a message appears:

"You are not registered as a developer

Register in SAPNet

After register you will receive an access key"

Where's SAPNet? Can anyone did this registration before tell me how to do this?

If you have ID & password then Goto www.service.sap.com & check for your access key.

But when I open www.service.sap.com, a lot of portals there, where do I go next?

Please guide me a little more detail or I have to try the portals one by one

Hi Vu,

You need to log in into Service.sap.com.where in you need to register for

Developer Key.

They will interact with SAP and get the Access key for u.

Hi,

Contact your BASIS team... for a valid SAP license, you have SAP log ID to the service market place…

Enter your SAP user ID; it will generate the developer access key…

Use this key to start you developement work...

In Market Place...

1. Go to Key & request

2. Choose SSCR Keys

3. Register developer

IF ANYONE OF YOUR TEAM WORKING IN SAME SERVER IN WHICH YOU ARE WORKING.THEN GOTO SE11->TABLENAME(DEVACCESS) AND IF U GIVE YOUR UERID THEN U WILL FIND ACCESS KEY FOR THAT CORRESPONDING USERID.

click on SAP SERVICE CHANNEL - MY INBOX

Then click on KEYS & REQUESTS

Hi,

You contact your BASIS team for getting an access key.

The pop-up screen appears for asking access key...send that screen shot to your basis team & they will regester your name in SAP & will provide you access key.

@Prashant Patil: You are telling me to request for a license key? I'm just a developer, does any one can request for license key? And the main thing is that: Is a license key = an access key??

@Heta Patel: The BASIS guy is stupid too (actually we are all new!) and he said that "I made an account for you, and I give you all the rights, but I see no access key. I asked some one, and they said that if you need an access key, the company must buy it for you. But I don't know where to buy"

Hi,

While creating your id on service.sap.com one has to click on REGISTER.

Role should be entered as DEVELOPER. Once BASIS guy enters this details, he will be provided with the Access key.

You might not be having authz to view those details.

Hi Imran ,

Developer Keys
Before you can create or modify development objects in SAP you need to be
registered with SAP as a developer for the system on which you are working. For
that purpose your system administrator will request a developer key from SAP via
SAPNET. Without such a key you will not be allowed to modify any development
70 or data dictionary object in R/3. The purpose of the developer key is mainly as a
registration tool, because the annual license fees of an R/3 installation are partly
dependent on the number of active developers on the installation.

First Understand The Requirment of USer :

IF U want to Customize the code using Z program , then you don't require Access Key .

IF U are modifying STAndard code then it require Access Key .

You need to ASK BASIS person about Developer Login That to depened on Client which you are using for Developer .

There are Different access : such as DEVELOPER , QUALITY ,PRODUCTION .

Also there is S_DEVELOP Authorisation required for Developer ASk this to Basis Person

First you go to [http://service.sap.com/sscr], there click on "Register Developer" select one of you registered installations (if many, call menu system, status on your SAP system) and click on "register". Then copy or download the key and use it in your SAP system. In case of problem read [Note 40850 - SSCR key does not work|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/40850]

sorry for the late replay.

do you try to get an acceskey for a sap demo system? but this depends also on the demosystem you use, i try this on a NW7.02SP6 System.

on a sap developer system there is a user account called: BCUSER this user has a valid acces key, so use this user.

this user persists in mandant: 000 and 001.

open transaction su01, then edit the user BCUSER and set, under logon data a initial passwort, save and then logon with the user.

open se38 and try it!

Is it possible to get a "Developers Access Key" for DEMOSYSTEM installation number? This installation number is required to get into SAP Service Marketplace in order to get an access key. Remembering that I have SAP netwaiver trial version installed in my personal laptop, not a company.
