Hello All,

I am running a report CCUINIT to check for concurrent users on a day basis.

when i look for results using CCUEVAL report it show only 15 users. Where in total number users

logged on are 1400 ( Pluging User + RFC users + GUI users ). Why is this huge difference is there any other

other ways i should be checking.

Please advise

Best Regards

Kiran

Please read note 839847. It explains the differences (well, a little) between concurrent users as relevant to the license audit as opposed to AL08.

Hi Mylene,

Thank you for the quick reply, how can i know how many concurrent user exists and how are they defined/created from the other users. Suppose if i have 100 concurrent user license how would i and who do i define as concurrent user. Is there a way to know. Thank you.

Hi kiran,

you don't "define" them, as such. It basically means: "you can have 100 users logged in at the same time" (real users, not RFC, batch, system, test).

You can't "see" it, except via LAW and/or USMM.

Again - this all depends on the kind of contract you have with SAP. This can be absurdly individual, so I won't take the risk to spout things that can well be complete nonsense in your case.

So, here's my advice:

  1. Read that contract carefully again.
  2. Read this documentation on the whole license auditing process (especially on concurrent users)
  3. Adjust your price list in USMM
  4. Maintain the license data in your users according to the types in your price list.

Hi Kiran,

Check below notes:

SAP note 839847 - System measurement: differences between CCUEVAL and Al08

SAP note 1560657 - System measurement: Function CCUEVAL is obsolete

SAP note 157758 Measurement of concurrent users

SAP note 183367 Measurement of concurrent users: no RFCs

SAP note 182382 Measurement of Concurrent users: Monitoring Archit.

There are two reports for this purpose - CCUINIT & CCUEVAL

V Srinivasan

Hi Mylene,

I have the result with CCUINIT/CCUEVAL as 15. The question i have whether the report CCUINIT had covered all the user types ( RFC/HTTP/GUI ). and i have also checked in RZ20 concurrent user the number matches with the CCUEVAL report. Thank you.

Best Regards

Hi kiran,

the report does not count RFC-, batch-, test-, http- and what else users exists out there that are not "normal" users. Otherwise that report would make zero sense for license auditing.
