How to Keep client copy in Linux

Dear All,

Our Operating system is Linux,

Now we need to take the client copy of prd server(client 009) ONLY CUSTOMIZATION & keep the same in Dev server(client 400).

What is the Procedure.

since i am new to linux, please provide me the Step by step procedure(with Syntax) for the same.

Appropriate points will be rewarded.
