Hi Sam,
When you define the program explicitly without using any variables the program is said to be hardcoded. It can not be considered as generalised program. To be specific it will be working for only the values you have specified.I So, for this reason hardcoding is avoided as generalization is better than specification.Hope your qery resolves by this.
Have a nice day ahead.

Hi Sam,
Check if there are any text symbols maintained for that report. To see the text elements go to --> text elements --> Text Symbols. All the hard coded texts would be either stored as text symbols for translation purposes or they would be between the quotes.

Swapna.

Hi Sam,
Generally in Abap program hardcoded strings are declared in single quotes ' .
for ex :
write : 'Report heading'. " search for ' in the entire program.
press FIND button in menu bar and type single quote ' . and select radio button ' IN MAIN PROGRAM '

Aby.

Hello SAM,
To find the hard coded string in ABAP, please try out the following programs:
RS_DETERMINE_OBJECT_SOURCE
RPR_ABAP_SOURCE_SCAN
and the Function Module: SCWB_GET_ABAP_CODE_OF_OBJECT
Have a bash at those ones, hope you'll get the solution.
Thanks: Zahack
