Helo All:
There was program created in 2003 that creates certain report but the prople here just have the output and nobody knows what program generates it! This is a weird situation I never faced, I know report will have program name but they just have the section of output. My question is, is there a way to find a program that was created in 2003 (never modified) based on the output report it creates!!!?
Thanks.

Hi Mithun
If its a background job, you might get a clue from the spool number or job name.. just from the output I doubt..

How is the program creating an output ? Is it running in background or is it a form or what is it ?
If it is running in background then you can see the details of the program in STEP of the job.
If it is an output then you can check the config of the output.

You can use the repository information system to find all programs created in 2003 and then try to feed this list to "find in source code" in SE38 with some keywords from the output.

SE85 ->Program Library->Programs->All Selections-> In Additional Selections ->Last Changed By Click on Multiple Selections to select the range of dates and give dates 01/01/2003 to 12/31/2003.
Hope this helps!
PS: This path is in 4.6c

In SE38:
Environment -> repository information system
Expand Program library and then programs
Press the 'multiple selection' button beside 'changed on' and enter a range of dates.
Press execute.
