how to choose data element

I'm customizing the table. i have create a filed like ZMONTH,

then how can i choose the data element?

can i use as AEDAT_CM(data elemnet of AEDAT)?

just mention the data element and press enter.

Can you try with Periods like MONAT ( this is fiscal period in a year )

AEDAT is for the entire date. I think you are looking into months

you may search dataelement from se15>abap dictionary>data element>search for appropriate and choose one and assign this to your field.

HI,

In ur table corresponding to ur field ZMONTH give data element as AEDAT and press enter. It will automatically connect to it.

what type of dataelement u want for the ztable.... and better go to se15 and search that type of dataelement and use that one in the ztable...
