Hi,
1. can we have more than one selection screen . And how ?
Yes, we can have multiple selection screen, that using the selection screen blocks.
2. What is the difference between occurs 1 and occurs 2 and occurs n.
Occurs 1 will allocate 1KB of default memory allocation for internal table and 2 will allocate 2kb of memory allocation, and occurs 0 is the default it will allocate 8kb of memory for internal table.
3. What is the signigficance of the keyword " HIDE".
This is used for interactive reports.
4. What are the function module types.
Normal Function Module, Remote Enabled, UPdate module(Start Immediately, Immediate start - no restart, Start delayed, Coll. run).
5. What is the use of "table maintenance allowed " . And its
transaction code.
SM30 is the tables maintenance generator, it is used to upload the data directly into the table.
Thanks,
Sriram Ponna.

Hi,
1. Yes you can have multiple selection screens in a Single Report.
Check the code below.
declaration for selection-screen.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK b1 WITH FRAME TITLE text-001.
selection options for screen
SELECT-OPTIONS: s_vbeln FOR vbak-vbeln OBLIGATORY,
s_erdat FOR vbak-erdat DEFAULT sy-datum,
s_posnr FOR vbap-posnr.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK b1.
declaration for selection-screen.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK b3 WITH FRAME TITLE text-001.
selection options for screen
SELECT-OPTIONS: s1_vbeln FOR vbak-vbeln OBLIGATORY,
s1_erdat FOR vbak-erdat DEFAULT sy-datum,
s1_posnr FOR vbap-posnr.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK b3.
2. the OCCURS clause also defines how many table entries are maintained in main storage.
occurs 1-upto 1 record
occurs n-upto n records.
3. This statement stores the content of a variable dobj together with the current list line whose line number is contained in sy-linno in the hide area of the current list level. The data type of the variables dobj must be flat and no field symbols can be specified that point to rows of internal tables, and no class attributes can be specified. The stored values can be read as follows:
For each user action in a displayed screen list that leads to a list result, all the row values stored using HIDE - that is, the row on which the screen cursor is positioned at the time of the event - are assigned to the respective variables.
If a list row of an arbitrary list level is read or modified using the statements READ LINE or MODIFY LINE, all the values of this row stored using HIDE are assigned to the respective variables
4. FM TYPES.
Normal FM's - Can be called only in the Sytem in which it was created.
Remote FM's - Can be triggered by a third party System
Synchronous RFC The calling program continues the execution only after the called function is complete.
Asynchronous RFC - The calling program continues the execution without waiting for return from the called function.
Eg: CALL FUNCTION remotefunction STARTING NEW TASK taskname.
Transactional RFC - The called function module is executed exactly once in the RFC server system. Each function call is seen as a transaction in the target system. Transactional RFCs use the suffix IN BACKGROUND TASK .
Eg : CALL FUNCTION remotefunction IN BACKGROUND TASK
5. Table Maintenance is used while creatin ZTABLE. It enables us to create new entries in SM30. Updating a Table can also be done programaticlly if Table Maintenance is allowed. SAP Tables can be maintained in SM30 because this attribute is not set in that case.
