Helpful Tips or Steps to Implement SAP Notes

Hi,

Can you please provide me with Steps to Implement the SAP Note? SAP has suggested implementing a note for a reported product issue. I am not sure, whether the corrections are already in place in my system. I am not sure, whether implementing this Note will have any negative impact on system as I have not done it before. I am new to implement SAP Note.

So, Can you please suggest me with Steps to be followed before implementing a Note and while implementing a Note? I just want to be sure that I am not doing anything wrong that may bring the system down.

if you are on 4.6 or above try transaction snote.....

Hi,

There are two ways to apply OSS notes:

1) Using SNOTE transaction: This will download the OSS notes and directly apply

2) Manual: If you are not able to apply using SNOTE, then try out manually as below:

a) check the oss notes in the serivce master website.

b) check if the sap release and the support pack is applicable to your system(check in system->status)

c) check if there are any prerequisits for the note and apply

d) finally if all the above are valid, then apply the correction note.

To get the access for any std sap object, download the SSCR key for the SAP note

Dear kannan.,

If ur working in 4.6 or higher version just use the tcode -SNOTE.

Then in the menu select the GOTO .

in that select the SAP Note browser..

Then enter the Note u want to search ..

If the note is not in the system then GOTO the menu again and Click Download SAP Note.

Just enter the Note in the input field and press enter it will automatically download the Note.

and then in the come to the snote tcode again in the New under the sap note u can see the note which u downloaded.

Double click on that note and read that carefully. First check the status of that. if the status is cannot be implemented u cannot implement that note in the system . If it is can be implemented just read the document clearly and checj whether u want to done any manual corrections.

The changes of the note will be given in the last page

Insert means that after implementing this note that code will be come and the delete means the exisiting code will be commented.
