Hello All,
I have come accross a wierd issue in one of my development. .I am actually populating some variables using SET / GET parameters to reuse it at another place.
If i check it with my Id, sometimes the variables are filled and sometimes not filled. I am also clearing it at the correct place using FREE statement.
In case if I check with other Ids also same problem exists ( Variables are filled ), thereby some custom changes are refelected only sometimes as these changes are dependent on those variables. To say the process is not consistent.
Will the SET / GET parameter ID work on a particular Id ?
Has anyone come across this kind of issue ( memory clearance problem ) at any point of time ?
I Would like to get this issue fixed ASAP.
Can anyone help in fixing the above issue.
Thanks and Regards,
Karthik Ganti.

Hi Karthik,
The SAP Memory is a user-specific memory area of the current application server, which is accessed by all main sessions of a user session at once.
It has has consequences for programs that one and the same user can run in parallel sessions:
Its depend on the rolled in and rolled out of programs.
It is clearly mentioned in help.sap
I guessing this could be situation,
You opened one session (Old value of parameter loaded initially ) and in another session program which setting the parameter ( New value) . If the session which setting the new value for parameter finished first than other, than when other session completed will over write the value with initial value
Thanks & Regards,
Arun

Hi karthik,
Try to use submit statement instead of set/get parameter.

Hi All,
Thank you for your quick responses. I have debugged and seen that I have passed same Parameter ID at some places which is actually overwriting that value. Due to that I was facing issue.
I learned some new points above SET / GET parameters from the above posts which is useful. Thanks once again...!!!!
Thanks and Regards,
Karthik Ganti.
