Can anyone explain me what is header data and Item data
Please take an example of LSMW and explain me ....

Hi,
Header data is the one which is applicable for whole document unless we define it for each line item.
Item data is the one applicable for only that particular line item.
For Example in a Salesorder Ship to pary and sold to party is defined at header level whereas we mention quantity and price for that item at item level.

Every transaction caries two types of data: Header Data and Transactional/Item data.
The header data is stored in Header Tables and the Transactional data is stored in Item tables.
ex:
VBAK is header table for the Sales Documents data which stores the Sales Document number, date created, time of creation, name of the person created the Sales document and the quotation/inquiry is valid from details.
VBAP is item table for the sales document which stores the data of Sales document client, material number, sales document item and other material data for that sales document.

Header data is the data that is common for all the screens in th particular transaction for eample say company code that for whom you are selling and item level is that materialks they may be multiple
