Get started with ABAP

Hello Everyone,

I started learning ABAP few days ago (my ABAP knowledge is zero), I went thru Amazon and there're millions of ABAP tutorials / books. Any recommended book for a starter like me? I do have SAP ECC 6.0 or 4.7 to practice and really need a helpful tutorial to go thru the syntax as well as the general concepts of ABAP to get started.

Hello Kevin,

I would suggest you to use transaction "ABAPDOCU" as u have access to SAP system.

It has got all basics with syntax , and output .

Its the best way to start.

Instead of buying books I suggest that you download the trial Netweaver ABAP edition here in SDN.

Not only can you practice ABAP at the comforts of your own home but also you will find many tutorials

included in the trial version. Also, don't forget to browse SDN for samplecodes, tips, etc.

Start With ABAP 21 days which is not sufficient but best book for begineers.

HI All, I'm going thru /oabapdocu everyday for simple sample code first, I also got the book learning Abap in 21 days
