General data selection in report painter

i have created one report painter but now i need to add one more selection field using general data selection,

i tried doing this but i am getting short dump.

after creating the element in the screen you need to write the code for it to process in the transaction . after creation of the element go for the program logic there write the code .

hi,

what u r trying to suggest me is wrong.

i have got to knw that i need to go to GR52 i.e change report group and select a report in that and go for general data selection and add a field.

but when i try adding i get a short dump.

can anyone please help me out.

i am stuck in this issue long time.

hi poonam,

u can add the field by selecting one of the radio buttons. i.e.,

keyfigure with characteristics.

predefined key figure

formula

Then u select the field which u want to add and provide options as per ur requirement right..

i dont know why r u getting dump...

i have just tried and it is working fine for me..

i want the field as selection field in the input screen.

characteristics its already there as selected.

we need to go for general data selection right???

any idea.
