I want to create Function Group for Table Maintenance generator. Can you please suggest me how to proceed?

Hi,

To create a function group, go to transaction SE37.

Navigate using goto->Function Groups -> Create group.

Hello,

1. Go to transaction SE37

2. From the menu Goto>Function Group>Create Group

3. Dialog boy will appear

4. Type the function group name you want to give

5. And also enter the Short text.

6. Save it

Function group is created

Thanks for your early reply. But I want to use this function group in Table maintenance. There we have to pass some parameters like below:

1. Authorization Group

2. Maintenance screens details like Main type and maint screen no.

pls can u elaborate on this.

For table maintanence gen. u don't want to specify any function group just specify the name for example: ZSW_ES_DOCU_FG. It will automatically creates the FG.

Give the authorization group - &NC& and and in maintanence screen details: check the one step checkbox Press the find scr number button it will automatically takes a screen number. And check the standard recording routine check box. Also select the compare flag = 'No Information'. If u want save the data to the transport request select 'AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTABLE'.

yes when u want to maintain the table generator it will ask for authorization grop,function group.I think u have created the function group so give that name there.Also give the authorization group.

Use the single step maintainence.u should enter some screen number.

Hello,

1. Authorization Group - This authorization group

indicates list of users authorised to

change, delete, update table entries.

Basically we use only the value &NC& for auth. group.

Which means table maintenence without authorization.

2. Maintenance screens details like Main type and maint screen no.

Maintenance type usually is single step. Because it will skip the initial screen of transaction SM30.

Maintenance screen is nothing but the screen number. So the system will generate the table maintenence generator with that screen number.

hi,

Authorization group can be &NC& if you dont specify any authorizatrions to the table maintenance.

maintenance type can be two step or one step. Based on your option, you can see two screens in SM30(table maintenance generator).
