Func Grp help req??

Hi

I am trying to transport a Fucn GRP to QAS frm DEV,but always its displying transportation error.

I had used this grp in the maintance gener. in a ztable.earlier in transportation,it was displying that ur ztzble is not active or not exists.In its inculde:lztablet00-*ztzble is not active or not exits.even my tabel is active in DEV,but its not there in QAS,it also need to be transported.but when i was trying to transport both,the same error occurs,so this time i just though to transport Func grp first,than i will move the ztable.but i am not able to understand,why its displying again that ur ztable is not active or not exits.

Erro msg:"The Dictionary structure or table "*Ztable_001" is either not active or"

" does not exist."

Plz help me to resolve thsi prob,what shd i do,as i need this func grp & ztable both in QAS.

how to make it working,also if i delete the ztable,can anyone plz tell me,in my fucn grp...the places i hv to remove the table name *& all components ,as i am thinking to make a new table,its maint genert under a seperate func grp,but agin when i will transporting this fuc grp,with the table deleted...i think it will again display the error,,,so can i know the places...so that i will remove its name...completely for the fucn grp..so that atleast this grp can be functioning well in QAS.

Hi,

When ever you do changes to your ZTABLE and do activation, automatically your Table maintenance generator function group will give a problem.

make sure that all modifications to your table are done, and it is activated with out any errors, once it is active hardly it will take 10 min to generate the table maintenacne once again.

try to do the table maintenance generation once again, it will work.

I am thinking to delete the table maintance generator,& regenerate it,but shd i use the same func grp or make any new for this.alos when i will dleete the earlier table matain generator,will it delete all the coding SAP automaticaly do in func grp.coz,if that is not going to delete means not overwritten by new code..again i wll face the same problem..

plz tell me clearly...if i am going to dlete the earlier table matain generator & make a new under this same fucn grp..will it solve my prob..

alos what shd i do with my ztable,shd i send both under same TR for 1st func grp uner sepeate TR & than ztable under seperate TR..

Hi Vipin,

You need to 1st move your Z Table & then the function group into QAS.

Even if you move both of them together, it should work fine.

Simply moving function group without Table is incorrect.

Regenerating the Table maint. generator will delete the code.

You can use the same function group as it will be overwritten.

Put the Ztable & function group in the same TR & move it to subsequent systems.

Can you plz tell me,if once the table is activatced,than after generating its matain generator & than again doing the activation is correct or just after matainance genearotr nothing has to be done.Which is the correrct & error free method?

Hi Vipin,

Goto SE80

Step 1: Right click on the Function Group => Activate.

Step 2: Right click on the Fucntion Group => More Functions => Rebuild Object List.

You can also write a transport entry by right clicking the FG => More Functions => Write Transport Entry.

Transport the table first and then the Function Group or both simultaneously.

Hi,

May be while creatin table,you just deleted some fields and again added some fields to the same table.

if you have done any operation like deleting some field in the table,you just activate and also you have to adjust database.

you can do this by going thru se11 and provide your table name and goto menu utilities>choose database utility> press activate and adjust database button.

then again activate and also syntax xhexk for the table if any log exists.

transport table first if you dont want take any risk further and then fg with another tr.
