Hello,

1) The FM is used to retrive the data from Database table.

2) Fm is also to update the data in the DB table

BAPI

1) BAPI is only used to update the DBtable

2) It will update the data in other client systems also.

3) BAPIs are used for interaction between SAP and other softwares like JAVA, .NET.
