FPN and logon issues

We have recently implemented FPN for our BI landscape..In this scenario:

BI (ABAP backend)->Producer Portal (both are running NW 7.01 SP5)-> Consumer Portal (currently running NW 7.00 SPS 17)

Everything appears to be set up correctly. User logs on to the Consumer Portal, clicks on the Business Intelligence role (from the FPN) and is able to see their portfolio, BEx analyzer, etc.

However, every now and again, the user is asked to log on to the FPN (from within the consumer portal). This is an intermittent issue, and I was wondering if there is an IE setting or something else that needs to be adjusted to prevent this from occuring.

It should also be noted that the consumer portal is accessed via https (outside of the firewall), while the FPN is connected via simple http.

Thanks.

It could be a firewall issue or also an issue with the SSO logon ticket being available.

I would check the parameters and the authentication model to make sure that all of the components are able to see each other and that the users are mapped across all components consistently.

Thank you Simon. Could you elaborate on the specific paramters that need to be checked? The two portal environments are talking to each other successfully, but there seems to be some issue with the logon tickets coming through to the consumer side from the producer (at least, that's my guess)

Hi Michael,

The standard security ones are available in RZ10 and start with logon/*

There are numerous ones in there for SSO including ones which relate to Logon tickets.
