Formatting error in smartform

hello all,

when i execute my smartform driver program i am error (Formatting error) under exceptions....

what could be the problem in smartform if we get formatting error....

Hi Vinay

The formatting errors occurs whenever you use the template and in the template specifications are not correct.

Example

if you use the template of  3 rows and 2 colums and if you specify the field output specificaitons beyound this 3 rows and 2 col .. this error will occcur.

Please review

1. All the templates

2. In side each template, for the field output spcificaiton verify your row and col specifications are correct

the import and export parameters are fine,...

the final code is like below,

when i debug this the SY_SUBRC = 1..

what could be the reason...

when i execute the driver program after selecting print preview

it not showing the output rather it is coming back to selection screen....

same thing is happening when i execute smartform directly....

Hi Vinay,

Check the size of windows or templates ,may be it exceeds the specified output options.

If you give the dump details you will get more relevant solutions.

Hi vinay,

You have to check whether any of the windows or templates are getting overlapped on each other,or whether the contents are not getting fitted into the windows/template. Check the output type also .

goto tcode sftrace, tick error and then trigger the form, if it stops at any error check the sy-msgid, sy-msgno etc
