Form alignment is out but printed in same printer

Hi experts,

I have a invoice form developed in SMARTFORMS. It can be printed via printer LOCL without any problem in the layout alignment. However, when I tried to print/preview it via another printer P001, the layout is not in the right alignment. In fact, the mentioned printer P001 and LOCL are the same printer in my office.

Has anyone encounter this before? Please help to advise.

Thanks in advance.

have seen this when printing local (using MS-network tools to drive the printer from the desktop toolset) as opposed to using SAP printer address. I recommended to my team at the time that they always test with the "real" SAP printer since the actual output may be (and usually was) different!

We had a similar issue with the same form appearing differently using LOCL printer and a pre-defined printer in SAP. Check in the printer administration (SPAD) what device type is assigned to those printers. Most likely LOCL will have SAPWIN and the other printer will have some other type.

In our case we have not found a good solution, other than changing the device type, to get the same exact output on two different printers.
