for encrypting password

is there any FM to use so that one can encrypt the password.

it shud show the password as only set of asterix's i.e **********

you can check with fm DP_SCRAMBLE_STRING

it will scramble your data and show something different then original but not *******.

hi,

no function module is required for this.

just open your screen layout from se51 and double click on the field for which you want astreick ****** and in attributes click display and select invisible.
