Hi Sirisha,

You can create Folder at any level (ie. Folder / text/table etc.) by clicking right button and maitain all other related nodes like text, tables, etc.

This is to modularize your Smartforms hierarchy, so that its easy to look for the right node easily.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

You can create folders by right clicking on any of the nodes. There are two reasons why u will create a folder.

1. When u want to do operations on a bunch of nodes. Say you have 3 lines in a table header and u want to keep them in one page. Then u put them in one folder and set no page pread checkbox.

2. When u want to make ur smart form design look more arranged.

Use of Folder Node and How to create:

The more extensive a form becomes, the less clear becomes the node hierarchy in the tree structure. To avoid this, you can combine related nodes by appending them under a folder node.

Nodes assigned to cells of a template can better be identified in the tree structure if there is a folder for each line or column.

Depending on how long the last date for payment has been exceded, each dunning letter should start with a different introduction. To to this, you create a text node for each dunning level that contains the relevant dunning letter and specify conditions to print only one of the nodes. In this case, it is reasonable to combine the different text nodes in a folder.

Procedure

To create a folder node call the context menu for that node in the tree structure that shall contain the text, and choose Create ® Folder.

Enter a unique name for the node and a description (for example, cells of the third line).

To assign other nodes to the folder, use Drag&Drop to pull them to the folder node or insert new nodes as successors.

On the Events tab you can activate a header and a footer area. For more information see Displaying Table Data.
