Fm TMP_GUI_GET_FILE_EXIST in background

Hello,

Is it possible to use function TMP_GUI_GET_FILE_EXIST in background mode ?

If i run my program in background with this FM i get error invalid path , in forground there is no problem .

Hi,

Any GUI function module ,you can't run in a back ground mode. GUI function modules will access the data from presentation server(local data). when u run it in the back ground system will not consider local path or file. that's why it gives file path error or file error.

Hi,

No GUI Related FM can be run in background, as there will be no access to GUI(Frontend) while running the program in background.

You need to use the system variable Sy-BATCH to determine if the program is running in the background and use a appropriate method to store the file in the application server.
